If I had not seen it with my own two eyes I would not have believed it.

In the list of documented miracles I would say that this is now top of the leaderboard. Even above potatoes that look like Jesus, statues crying milk/blood, 1 piece of bread and 1 fish feeding more than 5 people, animals getting onto a big boat and not eating each other etc etc.

Let me explain my miracle to you. There will be non-believers. But this happened.

I had a package being delivered today. Sometime between 08:00 and 18:00. No problem I was working from 05:00 this morning from home, and had no plans to leave house. Unfortunately around lunchtime I ran out of fags, so popped to the local shop. I was out of house for 8 minutes (I timed it). I returned to find the organge note on the floor, stating that my package had tried to be delivered, and I needed to call a number (or to be fair - perhaps miracle number one) log it on their website to tell them what I want doing with package. They are not open on weekends though, so I ignored it as I had to wait til after weekend anyway and contained my anger.

Around 18:00 the doorbell rings - and there standing in front of me is The TNT Prophet man. He has driven his big lorry down our tiny close, squeezed past the cars, and parked respectfully at end of my drive.

He has a big smile on his face (as have I) and he says "I was in the area picking up a package, you were out when I tried to deliver earlier, so I thought I would pop by and see if you were home".

It was truly a beautiful moment, and something to behold.

Miracles do happen - you just have to believe.

It was his first day....by the end of next week he'll be driving past throwing the 'missed you' cards out of the window at your house

That's a big call to make there!

There's not much in our world that is more miraculous that potatoes that look like other stuff.

That defence, sadly, does not work in court.

Oh, I dunno - I was overtaken by a BMW earlier this week, which then proceeded to indicate and pull back into lane 1.

Note to self: Request TNT delivery as opposed to DHL in the future.

My take on this:

The driver came back: A miracle indeed.

The driver originally arriving in the 8 minute slot that you weren't available, and you weren't at all surprised by this, proof that there is a god. wink
