Indeed, there is a huge amount of irony with this, however I hate xfactor enough to be up for trolling them!

89,000 members, half of which (at most) will buy the single. Xfactor single will probably sell 5mill copies?

nice idea, but I doubt anything can beat xfactor nowadays, it's a guaranteed no.1.

Single wise now you can have a number one with 5 digit numbers, it's sad, not like it used to be.

Fair enough.

I got a bit tired of hearing Killing almost 15 years ago though, still like Know your enemy a lot though....maybe I should start another page....

I agree with both choices as it goes smile
I guess Killing in the Name is easier to spread as everyone knows it?

I remember is happening a couple of years ago. A Sports channel in Canada I think it was had a competition to find a new theme tune, the usual stuff was winning on votes, you know macho gung ho music. Then out of nowhere a guy puts up his entry which was a cheesy beat with cats meowing and machine guns blasting. The tune was hilariously funny and quickly topped the voting after an internet campaign.
It won, but the TV channel said they reserved the right to use any tune they wanted etc etc, that will happen here, but I do still love these kind of things.
Their old tune was this:

The one he submitted - ignore the video.

The X-Factor christmas singles sell no where near 5 million copies. The Candle in the Wind single for Diana is the best selling single ever and didnt even reach that figure.

According to Wikipedia last years winner sold just over a million copies of the murdering of Hallelujah which was the finalists song in total, doesn't say how many were sold the first week to get to number one though.

Brilliant idea and a perfect tune to go with it, although I suspect it won't work!!

Every fking year we have to put up with 3 months of Mr Cowell and his stupid fking talent show!! Don't even get me started about Louis "I'll try and be a funny irish fker" Walsh, god that program annoys me!
