Hi All,

I've been clearing the loft and found my Traxxas Rustler R/C truck. It's been up there for ages so I'm think that the batteries will be completely dead.

What can I do to get it up and running again? I've seen people talking about 30 minute + run times, which is a bit of a change from the 3 minutes that I was used to! (Along with 4 hour charging).

I've still got all the radio gear, so i guess just some new cells, charger and electronic speed controller? I'll only use it in the garden/park so don't want to spend too much..

Thanks!

ESC? is that an upgrade, as it should be OK if you had one before.

It's still got the old mechanical speed controller, which I seem to recall being slightly dodgy at the best of times!

Ah yes.
On my old one, it'd have the equivalent of 3 gears, slow, wheelspin and constant donuts.

My recomendations if you don;t want to spend too much.

Charger: Will charge anything in an hour. You need to get the correct connector for your type of battery.

Batteries: They will also sell you the connector for the charger.
