Animal cruelty...Yes or no?
Discussion
I mean millions of animals are killed every day for food, and it was a rat after all....
Or do they have a valid point?

Bloody ridiculous... What about Bush Tucker Trials? What about programs like River Cottage or when Ramsay killed his pigs? It was a rat, they killed it for food and it was done humanely. I don't see what the issue is apart from the Aussie RSPCA needind a bit of publicity.

What? They killed it and ate it? Where is the problem? It's not like they just killed it because it annoyed them.
The police will be busy arresting all those indigenous tribes - how dare they eat animals straight off the jungle floor?
What is wrong with people? Is this the peak of our evolution curve?

I'm glad to see that Australia, possibly the least PC country that I've ever visited, now have similar levels of idiocy as ourselves.
I remember seeing an episode a couple of years ago where the contestants were moaning about how hungry they were, and then one of them had to get into a tank of eels. Eel stew seemed the obvious solution, but it didn't happen.

I have no problems with people killing and eating food - we've been doing it for thousands (if not millions) of years.
I do have a concern about the public being encouraged to watch nmorons abuse animals for the general entertainment of the hoi polloi.
Anything that causes problems for shows like this is OK by me.

I have to admit I was surprised to see the moaning came from Australia. When I read the headline I assumed it would of been from some UK based group, please don't tell me Oz is following us down this slipery path of PC'dom!I remember seeing an episode a couple of years ago where the contestants were moaning about how hungry they were, and then one of them had to get into a tank of eels.
