360 Inspections - Gloucester & S.Wales Area
Discussion
Hi all,
The 360 Hunt is going well - now seen 4 cars over last week, with 2 more to see over the next few days inc 1 spider.
I can only really see whether I like the look/feel/drive of the cars and intend having a full written inspection by an independant Ferrari expert if possible.
Cars of most interest so far are ...
Car 1:
2001 Rosso/Creama, Manual, 33k miles
Excellent condition ext/int
Std exhaust & grills (but it is kicking out some white dust)
Car 2:
2002 Rosso/Nero, F1, 31k miles
Very good condition but would benefit from a prof detail
Challenge Rear Grill & Tubi exhaust, recent clutch
Service history on both cars is full and equally good and they have both been cherrished examples and are of similar value.
Couple of Questions:
1. Anyone know of any good independants who can plug and a provide a full inspection service? (Gloucester & S.Wales Areas)
2. I assume the white dust does mean new exhaust is imminent?
3. If fitting a Tubi/Capristo or similar, do you need the challenge rear grill for better cooling?
4. If the 31k service & belts have been done, when is the next BIG service due?
Thanks for all the help and answering daft questions ..... all being well it won't be too much longer until I have my own little beauty on the drive.

I live in Glos and own a 360 CS, there are a number of local Indies you should consider - Bob Houghtons, Midland Ferrari, Migliore, Pete Chambers
In answer to your questions, the white dust could be a number of things, if I recall (a couple of years back) it may be exhaust related or clutch?
3. Makes no difference, the challenge grill was from the Challenge Car. Yes it does help cooling, but more aesthetic than anything else
4. 43,750 is a biggish one, ie more than a standard annual. Depending on where you take it, budget on spending £ 625 + vat upwards with the Indies

The white dust issue does not mean a new exhaust purchase just a quick wipe of the engine bay once a week. Good excuse to purchase a louder exhaust though.....lol
If my car is the one which is 1 on your list then it is a 2002 not 2001 model year....
cheers
Chris
