Has anyone got experience of the petrol version? Seem to be very rare, but good value when they appear. Presume that if they're serviced properly they should be pretty solid...
Its a Golf underneath so of its been serviced correctly it'll be fine. I had a V5 for a couple of years when they first came out in 99 and it was an OK motor, nothing inspiring but the suspension setup is better than the Golf so it drives much more nicely.
