Tony Hawk's Ride

Hi

I saw this game on Something For the Weekend, yesterday.

Tim Lovejoy made it look quite good...

However, it is £100. I have had a look at the reviews.. and it gets 1/10.

Has anyone purchased this? Are the reviews unfair?

I would look to play it on the Xbox 360.

DJ Hero got lame reviwes - but I think it is an awesome and addictive game.

Difference is that DJ Hero has an excellent controller that is responsive and does what you ask, Tony Hawks Ride has a crap controller that misinterprets what you want to do and makes the game infuriating to play, hence the low review scores.

If you want a good skateboarding game, then check out EA Skate, or if you must have a boarding game with a boarding controller, then Shaun White Snowboarding on the Wii, played with the balance board is supposed to be good.

Edit: And DJ Hero didn't get lame reviews, most of them were very favourable.

Shaun White's is terrible! I have it on the wii.

Stoked is way better - like the Amped from old.

I have Skate II from EA and love it.

I was looking for an "adult" board based game. I guess I will have to wait!!!!

DJ Hero, the reviews I saw gave it 7's and 8's with reviewers claiming it was limited for the first incarnation.

Personally I would give it 9-9.5. I love the step up to hard, although find not being booed off in the other Rockband/Guitar Hero games is a big loss.
