Its only a small review. Can probably get the same low down from the man himself! Worth a browse if you're in Smiths though.

Indeed it is!

I have to say though that in my opinion Paramount have made a mistake in letting the press drive it before the final mapping was finished. As Oli described in the review there were issues with throttle control at low revs along with a fuelling issue in the mid range and it coming 'on-cam' abruptly rather tha progessively. All of these issues either have been or are being resolved with revisions to the piggy-back ECU.

Unfortunately for Paramount it's highly unlikey that you can get the motoring press to write a second review, so my personal opinion is they should've waited until everything was spot on before letting the press review it.

In further news, the beastie is away this week having a Twin Plate AP Racing clutch a lightened billet flywheel fitted to accomodate the extra grunt. I've also been looking into fitting some Nitron shocks further down the line.

As for whether is sounds 'obnoxiously loud' (I believe that was the quote) I would say it's 'Epic' earsthumbup

I agree it would appear Paramount have shot themselves in the foot by releasing an unfinished car for review. Not very smart. EVO did seem to think the car had potential though once sorted.

Seems to be the way though as there was an Abt tuned (SC also) V8 R8 on the same page with similar mapping issues.

hehe That bit did make me think "sounds alright to me"

Perhaps PH tastes are somewhat different to most!

Might be worth an email to them stating that the issues have been, and you are really happy with the final car, and would they like a re-run in return for some time in others cars..... at a track some time?
