I must say, since Joust helped me get HD I've been amazed at just how wonderful it is!

Can't remember how I lived without it.


Couldn't work out why BBc1 had Top Gear on at 8.30 last night but BBC HD had it on at 10.30.........very odd. Had to make do with the standard def feed!!

Seemples Gregor, it takes 2 hours longer for the HD feed to arrive at your house because it contains much more datas

Ok matey - what's the deal or would you rather PM. I have a motorised dish and SD receiver but can get HD FreeSAT through the TV tuner but thought about getting another HD service of the cloudy sort - I have it already in Italy (are the cards transferable?).

I do like to use the motorised dish for more interesting channels (actually Italian for the Mrs ) so do I have to use the box supplied or could I use another HD recevier with a couple of CAM slots?

David, it has to be a Sky HD box. The box can take a feed from any dish as long as it's pointed at the right place, although you would need to sort that out after the installer had done a "standard" install of the minidish.

One thing to bear in mind though that HD boxes get upset if they can't see a signal all the time, so a motorised dish is generally not a good idea.

Was thinking about getting the HD service and just saved over £30/month for the first year with no set up costs and to top it all the scheduled installation is Wednesday .

Of coure not Martin, it would be naughty to receive and use Sky signals from here

If we did receive Sky HD it's just the free channels. The regional channels are all from where we lived in the UK since we used to be UK subscribers.
