Hi Guys

I recently bought one of the original TAG F1s with a luminous face, like this.

It has a green bezel, but I am keen to change it to a black bezel. Any ideas of who could do this, and how much it would be?

The watch was only £150, so I don't want to pay over the odds.

Cheers!

TA Daa!!

Also, you can change them yourself, it is easy, you just have to get your fingernails under the bezel or use a thin blade and twist, but be careful as the blade can mark the body, nails work best! done it a few times.

From Stephen Henderson in Dundee. They have quite a few interesting used watches for sale.

Just had a look and there are no F1s for sale just now, but might be worth giving them a call.

How apposite, I bought one of these when I graduated years ago. The bezel is now very tired and thus I was going to send it off in the new year to be fettled. Shall do it myself now.

Good link thanks!

Likewise, I got one of these (Co-incidently bought from Stephen Hendersons in Dundee) new 15 yrs ago. The black bezel is pretty worn and always fancied replacing it and bringing the watch back to as new.

Cheers.

My pleasure, a new bezel makes a world of difference to these watches, I have a black on black, a rare early white case/face with blue bezel/strap and a mint black/black which the wife has just decided to pinch of me!

Great watches and getting collectable now, if y0ou look around that site they have original straps as well biggrin

I've got the luminous faced version, which I upgraded to the metal strap. Got fed up of the cost of the yearly replacement of the plastic ones.

I bought mine mid 90s and it's only on its second battery - amazing.
