I don't care how old it is, I found it and thought people would be interested, if you're not interested because ts not current then swivel.

The A-Team would be proud!

Incredible the lengths some people are driven to. I'm surprised the police weren't more easily able to blow the tracks off though and immobilise it.

Repost or not, it's a firs timer for me.

I do empathise with the poor fella, great story such a shame he took his own life, especially as no one was hurt. It certainly would be one to tell his Grand-kids and he'd definitely got work as a guest speaker.

Good post and a great You tube linky added thumbup

Yes, man effectively makes composite tank armor with metal and concrete, adds guns and cameras.

I do feel his biggest flaw with creating all that was the radiator not being protected, he thought of everything but protecting the radiator.

Swats methods were good
Walk down the street firing shots at it
Walk down the street firing bigger shots at it
Walk down the street, then stick satchel charges on it
Walk down the street, then get in earth movers and commence battle
Phone up army base over the hill to bring in anti tank weaponry.

Sad they broke it up into bits and sent it all over the USA to scrap it, I would of put it in the Smithsonian, a work of art and genius imho, regardless of what it was used for, IIRC took the police like 2 days or several hours to get into it.

Also can I point out to some people and it might be worth putting in the first post, although I haven't seen the videos posted, I assume it has the bit where he goes into the hardware store and thats when his engine gives up, might be worth pointing out that you can hear him shoot himself, some might not want to hear that

Apparently they were about to call in an Apache to hit it with Hellfires before the engine died - no doubt that would have taken half the town out as well!

Fascinating. And very sad. Could have ended even worse, of course.

Indeed like the suicide laptop and the deliverance software that's on display in the science museum it would have been an excellent talking point

This is so old it was on "World's Craziest Videos" on Men & Motors, back when Sky had 20-odd channels.

That's a fair amount of anger he had!!

Mind you, if a newspaper "editorialized against him" did that to me I would be tempted to flatten their building just for murdering English.
