In this region we have seen less impact of the global financial crisis compared with some other markets around the world. We have seen our sales recover in the UAE during the second half this year... we are ahead of our expectations," was the quote.!!!!!!!!!

Having just returned from Oman and having read and seen on Al jazeera News, Sky News , BBC World about Lambo, Ferraris, 911s being left at airports, side of road or being sold for extremely low money by fleeing expats, i find this kind of press statement slighlty odd .

How can anyone say such a totally false statement.

The words UAE and global financial crisis go habd in hand at the moment.

FWIW.

Hang about, fella... How do you know that it is such a false statement?

Some, if not lots, of people probably have been screwed by the recession etc... but there are still plenty of rich sheikhs who still 'need' brand new Lamborghinis...

About 60 I would say... hehe

I really wonder why this really is a question. There will always be market for some amount of supercars in GCC.
