Hi guys,

I need to change at least one of the belts on the 350i (main pully to waterpump snapped) but guess I might as well change them all whilst I'm doing it. Does anyone know the part numbers by chance?
The race is on to see which one, Graham or Wedg1e, recommend a particular denier of tights first laugh

Well in 9 years of owning my 390 I've only ever changed the belts once and that was when I rebuilt the engine in 2001 (?). I think I just took the old ones along to my local flat-capped motor factor who rummaged around and found some the same length, but with uncharacteristic non-analness (is that a word?) I didn't make a note of any numbers, sorry!
Tights and stockings aren't really my thing, not even on wimmins, so the door is open for His Grahamness to recount tales from his youth as the Black Magic man when his (I daresay) XK150 conked-out on the A37 one grim night, miles from the nearest GPO telephone kiosk... wink

I got mine for a 1988 V8 PAS 350i from Halfords for a Rover SD1. I can't remember the size unfortunately. i had to replace it as the old one had worn so much it flipped off during a very high speed run. Gave me no warning whatsoever. Luckily, I spotted it straight away and was only 200yds from home. Went back to look for it and found it lying in the road undamaged! The new one came with teeth and seemed to fit much better with less flexing when revving.

Hi Shaun,

Alternator Belt- Halfords HB6756 [675mm x 10mm] V belt.
Waterpump Belt - Trupart TFB975-10 [975mm x 10mm] Vbelt.
Power Steering - Gates 6468MC or AVX13X950LA.

This is what i have a note of for my 350, haven't used them yet so you would need to check them out first.

Ahem ! irked

Fortunately I had a key for the nearest AA box, and was able to give them a call. Their man had a suitable pair of stockings in his sidecar.

In later years I used to carry one of those 'universal' belts which you cut to size and then screwed the ends together.
