Could really do with suggestions, dunno if there's any Casanovas on here?

Ok so I have a thing with one of my friend's best mates, only thing is I stay in Dundee, she stays in Falkirk, call it 70 miles apart.

Basically, she's stunning, so I'm willing to give it a go. Could do with ideas for things to do though and how to go about it.

I haven't slept with her so 'getting it out of the way' so to speak would help, my friend suggested going through to Edinburgh, book a hotel, have drinks, meal etc, see a show (or something like that) the next day. Obviously with having not slept with her I'd have to deliver this the right way cause I don't want to put any awkwardness or pressure on it with staying the night in a hotel.

Just with it being so far to travel I'm not sure what else would be worth a shot, any ideas?

I'd have said her, although that's a bit prejudice as I've never been.

The answer to your title is yes clap

Do you and her live alone? If so, why the need for a hotel?

I stay with my dad, I dunno if she has her own place but I doubt it.

If she did I wouldn't want it to seem like I was expecting sex or being needy by suggesting I stay at hers if you know what I mean.

Well get your own hotel room so you don't HAVE to stop hers and just in case the date goes bad. If it feels right, invite her up...anything that happens after that will be what both of you decide as adults.

Not really sure what you could do whilst there as I don't know the area or even what the girl likes/dislikes. Generally don't ask them what they want to do but do ask them what they enjoy on a different subject then take note and see what you can dream up.

Agree with the above. IMO:

Hotel room for the both of you = she'll think you're wanting to sleep with her.

Hotel room for you = no pressure/hints on her, make the decision based on what happens on the date.

Your OP only states that you have a 'thing' for this girl, just checking that she too has a 'thing' for you? wink

FWIW, you going to Falkirk and booking a hotel while she sleeps at home sounds like the plan, but still try to nail it on the night out. It's exactly what I did with my ex, she studied 100 miles from me and 'put out' on first date thumbup

You've not posted what you drive on your profile, so i'm unsure how to post here.

Birds from Falkirk only shag men who drive french cars less that 1.8 so if you get yourself a Saxo VTR she will be as wet as an otter's pocket in no time

I'm in Edinburgh so understand the geography and your predicament.

Why don't you suggest a night out in Stirling? Lots to do there, and you can book a decent hotel for yourself much cheaper than Edinburgh prices (especially at this time of the year). That way, she can easily get the train back to Falkirk (it's only a few stops so easier than from Edinburgh) or get a taxi cheaply, or if she wants to she can stay with you and you can get "baw deep" (I think that's what you Dundonian's say).

OI irked

To the OP, depends if you think you can trust her, and her you?....long distance (Dundee to Falkirk really isn't that far) puts pressure on any relationship, and can make the mind imagine things that are just not happening.

I was seeing someone from Falkirk also, but he couldn't handle the distance so we ended it before getting too involved. Well what's the point in creating more heartache in the world.

Oh and are you sure she does like you? Just case you fancy the pants off her, it doesn't mean it's mutual

Why the deception?
"hotel room= bad, lest she might think you wanting to sleep with her" Fracking ell! Is the OP and the girl both thirteen?

What else would she think, he wants to take cooking lessons together?

Why not be a little more forward and honest about your intentions, not in a disrespectful way, but she is a human being too and hopefully likes/wants sex.

For a kick off there are no stunning girls in Falkirk (apart from MrsP, in case she reads this).
It's not exactly a two day Yak ride from Dundee to Falkirk is it? Just over an hours drive to see someone that you're really keen on seems a no brainer.

Duh yourself....some people have family, jobs and homes....so not always as easy as the movies make it look.

And in Dundee, there's no problem with inbreeding.....not with all the new Polish we get on a weekly basis biggrin

Give her your elephant impression and ask her if she "fancies a bunk up?" Works like a charm.
