The poor dear...

Unbelievably she said:
'It's nice to be comfortable, but I'll probably never ever stop worrying that I've got enough!'
You've gotta love these Socialists. furious

Hopefully bLIAR and slotgob will be prosecuted for theft.. there's no way that lying conniving commie barsteward "earned" that money.... and remember his (probably fraudulent) expense claims got shredded. I'd rather believe Osama Binliner that bLIAR and his witch....

Typical hypocritical attitude from labour / socialists, absolutely no connection with the people suffering due to their incompetence (yes she wasn’t elected, but has acted in an informal role as a spokesperson / ambassador for labour)

I’m sure there will be some people who will feel sorry for her; after all, it must have been hard having a partner as PM earning a six figure salary, with the same again on expenses, plus her own six figure income as a leech barrister.

She's going to be in for a bit of a shock if he's tried for his war crimes, which would hopefully come with a court order to confiscate any money he's earned on the back of Iraq.

I'm against violence against women, but I'd love to post my fist through that letterbox gob of hers.

I suspect that would please far more people than it would disappoint.

I thought Tony Blair was well known as a Thatcher fan. I didn't know anybody thought of him as socialist.
Why do people pay to hear him speak?

Did you guys only read the headline or something?

What she said was totally reasonable. She worked hard throughout her life and it's paying off. The point about her children is a good one. They need to realise their parents worked hard to ensure they'd have a good start, which the have.

I don't begrudge anyone making it in life. Although not starting from deep poverty, both of them had very little compared to others in their fields.

She's certainly helped herself.

Remember that story about a store manager foolishly offering her a freebie and her going on a mammoth, grasping, supermarket sweep style raid?

That's not isolated, apparently when they saw Cherie Blair looming into view, stallholders at Labour's annual conference would brace themselves for a 'supermarket sweep' of freebie mugs etc.

This is a Daily 'Hate' Mail story, extracted from a Tatler interview. So expect the quotes to be taken at best heavily out of context, and at worst completely fabricated.

I doubt they'd fabricate such potentially libelous material against a parasite lawyer of her standing.

As for context - there's tens of thousands recently out of work as a direct result of her Husband's policies, who are facing a bleak Christmas to put it mildly, so for her to be bleating about her 'fear of poverty' combined with her inherent narcissism ('look at me and all that I have and you don't!'), without even taking into account the ££££ for the interview itself just amounts to a terrific kick in the bks for a hell of a lot of people.
