Is there some sort of secret handshake for members of pistonheads?

The reason I ask is I am sat behind someone posting in Gassing station! should I go and introduce myself to him as a fellow Pistonheader by using new found secret pistonheads secret hanshake, do nothing, or shout 'buy an MX-5 and kick her back doors in' at the top of my voice?

Que everyone in an office turning round to see if some bloke is staring at them.

Okay....

Totally freaked out and I'm glad you came and tapped me on the shoulder instead of shouting out in a very quiet computer lab!

Cross your arms over your chest and place your clenched fists in front of your shoulders while making a roaring noise like a Rover V8 - this is the normal greeting.

I thought it was to shout "oh no it isn't" and nut each other.

I have always wondered what PHisms would be most effective to shout in a pub to see who's ears would prick up. Something that warrants a PH only reply would be best to solidify the bond.

Something like "Take her up the OXO tower..."

and a beery reply of "...then smash her back doors in."

Would raise a smile and possibly gain me a new best friend.

I may try it out his lunchtime on my wander through Macclesfield.

That's all pretty general chat to be fair - you'd do better to mention some well known users and see if anyone notices.

I love posts like this. I always wonder whether the poster just can't be arsed to elaborate, or whether they literally have so much to say, the furious bashing on the keyboard just comes out as a single word...
