That's some haul they picked up there. Keep checking fleabay and the papers for the components.

stty news just before Christmas though, when it's an ideal time to go out for a pedal.

Shlt mate! Hope you get a tip off and find your bikes.

As said, don't give up on eBay, something will turn up on there. Could be enough for you to locate the culprits.

Sorry to hear of your losses.

The good news is that:

...from my recent experience, "very".

They didn't flinch at all and, in fact, the shop they use valued the bike at more than I'd calculated, which was nice.

i dont have access here but get this on singletrackworld, bike radar et al asap if you have not already done so! mighjt also be worth a call to some of the local bike shops that do part ex and ask them to keep an eye out.

the sad thing, aside from the loss of your property obviously, is that they will probably be flogged in a pub for peanuts so the thieving scumbag can buy some chavtat for christmas....

Little fkers. Behaviour of this nature should be punishable by death... or at the very least a brick to the scrote.

I am sorry for your loss, hope you get sorted out asap. That Yeti is porn

a cautionary tale.

was in a bike shop last night and got chatting to a bloke who had his stumpy enduro nicked from his garage. he was selling it on ebay and a few people asked for his postcode so they could get a price for courier/shipping etc. he gave them the postcode and a few days later the bikes were gone. the thieves tried two other garages before finding the bike.
he acknowledge dit was his fault and a stupid thing to do but when you are trying to sell something or just think you are helping someone out you can forget what info you are giving strangers.

I am so sorry, unfortunetly I know just how you feel.

You have to work the problem yourself. Go to all the second hand shops and dealers of second hand bikes let them know of the theft and let them know of a reward for return. Don't be explicit about the amount of reward. Go to all bike shops and give a description. I count the thieves did not know exactly what they had so they were in the only dealer asking about specs. I now have a good description. Ask sales people to keep an eye out for suspicious people browsing the type of bikes you had stolen. Work the internet. Look for the components. All the usuals, eBay, bike forums etc.

The bad news is that if they went for a haul like this is they were pro's and already have a method of moving the bikes on.

Good luck.

Bikes this destinctive do not just disapear...

Dont give up.

Example - I used to work for EBC in North Leeds. We had been informed by one of our customers they had been burgled. Distinctive bikes. We made sure all the staff knew about the situation.
Lo - one day a member of staff flagged something up as a grotty scrote stood at the till asking for a quote to fix his mech hanger on his out-of-place posh bike.

We managed to get the bike out of his reach down into the workshop while he waited upstairs - some quick detective work involving calling the customer and the police...

'Yeah we've got the part mate we'll fit it for free just hang around'.

Locked the front door. Police. Arrested.

This was not a one-off.

Also, a member of staff also got done over. Bike was found on ebay in another city. Careful detective work led to it being returned.

Another member of staff had his taken from a car in cardiff.

Turned up on Singletrack and Ebay, in bits. Returned.

Dont give up, they wont come to you but if you look then they may just surface after a while (weeks, probably).

We had a staff notice board at the shop with lots of these on.

Print out some A4 sheets with details, specs, photos, crime number, and the name of the relevant PC and phone number.
Take them to the bike shops, and stick the details on every bike forum going.

I'm not saying its guaranteed - but it DOES work and I have the stories to prove it.

Good luck.

Chin up, and good luck with the insurance in the meantime.

Cheers everyone for the comments , I've sent email's to clubs / shops and forums so if they do show up they might be spotted esp the yeti as its very distinctive - also have a good friend in local CID so I know it will be followed up as best as poss . Realistically I don't expect to see them again as I'm sure it was a special job maybe with people already ligned up for them . I'll keep you all up to date with news and how I get on with insurance as one never knows how good they are till times like this.

Basically, The single article limit unless specified is 4k. This includes bikes at home or away. The only stipulation is that they are locked and secure. Just renewed my policy with them and saved me over £200 PA.
