If you are new to trackdays, then it is well worth reading the 'FAQ' sections on the TDO websites;
My two bits of advice would be:
1) take it easy, it's not a race, and offs can be expensive!
2) get some instruction; this is the best way of making your car faster!
above all though, have fun... it is an absolute blast, but it'll end up costing you all your pocket money

. It certainly costs me mine!I recently came across a scholarship that might be a good option by the sounds of things. It provides professional instructors and uses supplied Ginetta cars so could get the best of both worlds with tuition and not having to use your own car.
