FAO: Jimbeaux - S Seagal Question

Put this in the lounge rather than TV, etc, as A&E is primarily US based and this is not a comment on the acting, production values, etc.

Is Seagal REALLY a Deputy Sherrif (in fact a CHIEF) in Jefferson Parish?

Caught the show last night as Mrs ErnestM had fallen asleep on the sofa with A&E on and it happened to pop up. On the end credits I thought I saw the word RESERVE next to his name. Can you be a RESERVE CHIEF?

I was going to comment how the sans-ponytailed one had puffed up a bit. But after watching the show, extra tonnage seems de rigueur for Jefferson County Sheriffs.

Interesting. I wonder if he's ever had to use Aikido on anyone. They could make a "texas ranger" style series out of it, perhaps avoiding the philanthropy and music side of things.

I heard about this on the early morning Breakfast show on radio1 last week.
They mentioned that the police had cordoned off a town or were helping with traffic/crowd control for one of his 80's films. He trained a couple of the officers in Aikido while filming and they were so grateful they made him an honorary officer/deputy. In between filming he now goes out patrolling because he loves being a copper so much.

Apparently 'Lawman' is coming to UK TV in January on some unknown satellite channel.

On the show they said he continued to resist even after he was brought down. They were trying to stabilize the situation. I also saw on the show last night were they had a nutter, in hand cuffs, in the back of a cruiser and he kicked the window out.
