Less than 6 months to go!
Discussion
This is my annual thread as brought to my attention by my on-screen countdown.
It is now officially 5 months, 30 days, 21 hours and 7 minutes until I have to leave home to catch the ferry.
Had our booking confirmed yesterday for the Team Langoustine site. This year there will be about nine of us in a four car convoy.
Can't wait!

personally i think one of the best about christmas is theres only 6 months to go!
sad i know
Actually with a little reworking you’d be spot in, it’s the only good thing about Christmas!sad i know
Double helpings in 2010 with The Classic, throw in a couple of track days at the circuit and suddenly the prospect of the next few week or so seems far less hideous
Again, according to my on-screen countdown there is now officially less than 6 months to go before I leave to catch my ferry.

All booked at Team Langoustine again and have pushed the boat out this year with some grandstand tickets.
I really fancy a new car to travel down in though..............

I love the 6 month mark, because it becomes 'to go' instead of 'since the last one'... If you see what I'm saying?
Anyway, 2010 will be my 6th outing! Been going every year since I was 16, and I still can't wait!

Absolutely "the next race rather that the last time..."Anyway, 2010 will be my 6th outing! Been going every year since I was 16, and I still can't wait!
During evening quali on the thursday (after the rain) I heard one of the Yanks on RLM saying "There is nowhere on this planet I would rather be than right here - right now"
I will send a youtube link to get you all in the mood - once I have found it

the clip is a couple of years old but the sound is good.... unfortunately no astons lmp1 there (charouz lola didn't sound as good) but the big vettes nealy made up for that
clip with the aston coming along soon

Oh bloody awesome! Just watching that and hearing it makes me almost able to smell the atmosphere - hurry up June!!Off topic I have found this about the BRM 16 cylinder 1.5l car
If it sound bites you want here is the daddy of all racing engine sounds... I love the Aston LMP1 sounds of 2009 and 2010 but this car beats even them IMHO
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJA7Vxrfkng&fea... (and it only goes to 10000 rpm there because not all cylinders are firing!!!)
but here it is at full tilt 500bhp from 1.5l

And a few people wonder why we don't like diesel racing.....

Im just busy trying to round up cash of people and then getting it all booked up, buzzing already cant wait
Anyone know if the new Aston will be racing in 2011? The lack of info and pics is a bit worrying. Hope it makes the same noise as the Lola Aston made, I missed last years event but the 2009 soundtrack was awesome with the Vettes and Astons showing the diesels how cars should sound!
