Thieving Scumbag Airline
Discussion
Just thinking about a March break, so have been looking on our national airline's website.
Seattle is about £500 return.
San Francisco is about the same.
Then we thought, how about flying to Seattle, driving to San Fran, and flying back from there. I knew the flights would work out more expensive, but wasn't prepared for how much more expensive.
London to Seattle one-way - £783!
San Fran to London one-way $1490 (yes dollars)!!
So a "return" is now about £1700 each!

Try the US carriers.
We used United.
ShudderWe used United.
I managed to avoid most of the "issues" you can get into by upgrading the seats once we had them confirmed by Trailfinders. 11 hours in "coach" with some of our American cousins and the crew was NOT an option.
TBH all flights were on time and the only issues was at LHR coming home when we arrived an hour early and they couldn't provide us with a gate.
