Some suggestions appreciated here.

Heading into Nottingham this evening for a 'team meal' at a local restaurant. Have the pre-meal drinks sorted, but looking for inspiration as to what to do and where to go after we have eaten. One or two of the group will almost certainly head to the (yawn) casino, but the rest of us are in search of something more exciting.

Now, appreciate that it is a Wednesday night in Nottingham, so I am not expecting to attend an East Midlands equivalent of the Mardi Gras, but some ideas would be great as I don't want to be heading back to the hotel at 10pm.

There are a few females in the group, so any suggestions involving 'that' type of thing will be considered, but the general idea is to keep everyone together and enjoying themselves for as long as possible.

Over to you, and thanks in advance.

Age group, tastes, etc, might help narrow the choice down a little but for late bars I'd head into the 'Hockley/Lace Market' area of Nottingham for the nicer bars and clubs. wink

Depends what you want really, but with it being a wednesday and nearing the festive period I would expect a fair few students/work dues to be out and about. As said before the Lace market/Hockley will be full of students etc wink, relaxing drinks could be had in Saltwater. Depends what you're after...

Oh yeah and plenty of coke(Hockley) and Hookers (forest road)

was in nottigham just this weekend gone.

ended up in a bar called Saltwater. nice place, older crowd (read not 17 year olds) funky tunes, leather sofas and no one got killed.

what more can you ask for! (other than the address maybe, which I have no idea other than it was in the city centre).

Lordy. Proof positive, (not that it was needed), that educational standards have dipped a touch in the ten years or so since I left university wink

Anyway....

Yeah it's in the cornerhouse with a few restaurants and a cinema. normally a good crack in there, I've met Carl Froch in there and a few of the Forest lads before.

Walkabout "not bad"? "not full of yoofs"? Seriously?

I'd go ice skating in market square, see how many fingers you lose. The go somewhere nice like Saltwater, which has been mentioned a few times.
