Hi, does anyone have anymore information on the 997? from the testing pics it looks good and i've been after a 911 for some time. Closest I got was ordering one in the US, then waiting and convincing myself cancel lucky actually since i'm over less and less.

Basically anymore details would be appreciated, I've been told there's a long wait, but that really doesn't matter too much, will help give me time for finances to adjust

An OPC wont quote you a delivery date until closer to launch when they get their allocation firmed up for next 12months.

IMO you will probably wait 12-18 months from launch if you haven't got your name down on the list/placed your obligatory £1k deposit already.

Current wait is around 18 months/2 years with AFN and they don`t seem to be keen to take any more orders!

With my local OPC (Lancaster Colchester) you should place a letter of intention ASAP. Even though their allocation is already spoken for. If your lucky someone may drop out of the list when they are contacted to make a definate order, you could then be offered the place they've vacated.

If someone drops out when asked to spec their car/pay a desposit, then I believe everyone on the list just moves up one.

You can always jump lists, just call the various dealers and say you really wan the car soon and keep it up.
It works honest.
