Look at only the first page of a fairly long thread and the last page?

It's always funny how it starts on topic, then you get the subsequent arguments / debates that are on the last page, usually completely off topic and often with venom.

Amusing

If something gets over about 5 pages, and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, i'll usually skip right to the end, and then repost an obvious joke that was done on an unread page 2, or start reading the pages in reverse order.

I have the page length set to 80. So skimming is very easy.

No. It's a pet hate of mine - lazy arses not giving previous posters the simple courtesy of reading their posts before "contributing" something invariably said 3 times before in the same thread.

If you can't be arsed reading the entire thread, don't be shocked if people can't be arsed to take your post seriously and you end up looking like an echoing moron.

It's one of my pet hates - when someone can't be bothered to read back through previous posts before they type their own response. Their "unique" input has usually been posted two or three times before.

Then they wonder why no-one takes them seriously and they end up sounding like parrots.

People who dont read full threads are one of my pet hates. Its not hard to read what has been said in the thread already before writing out the same response again, often its a pearoast of a repost.

They then wonder why no one takes them seriously, its like there is an echo or parrots in here at times.

thumbup to the riddler biggrin

I will try and read all threads but I get 2x 10 min breaks and 1 half hr lunch break so sometimes I just don't have time to read all pages.

I do find it funny how easy it is to go off original topic, I usually at least try to look back in the thread to see when it changed!

I have a really bad habit of reading threads backwards, read the first page, skip to the last decide if the rest is worth reading but continue in a backwards fashion, although it does help if there has been mass quoting to read just one post and then skip a page or two.

I once read one of CVM's posts backwards.

I heard the words of Satan.
