I know of several people I call "Slinkies"

They serve no practical purpose, but you get an enormous smile out of pushing them down the stairs

Everyone loves a Slinky
But if you put one on an Escalator would it carry on Slinky'ing FOREVER?

Is it a prop powered or wheel driven slinky?

I think it might depend on if the escalator is going up or down.

You would need to carefully match the slinky descent speed and the escalator travel speed.

If you have a metal slinky to hand, try this :- put one end over your ear, and let the other end fall to the floor. I swear the noise you hear is exactly the same as the blasters used in 'Star Wars'... ears

No! I can't remember how I found this out, but it was back in '93 in New Zealand! I've a picture somewhere of various friends and family trying it out, looking very silly!! biggrin
