Contact a dealer with the VIN and you should be able to get the details of any Main dealer service work carried out on the car.
Diagnosis was made by ? From other forums some "problems" with cars of this age are not easy fixes. Well worth seeking out a specialist who will have more experience than main dealers re older cars and should not just suggest replacement of expensive parts.
There is/was a 2000 XKR Convertible Cat D repaired on e-bay for about £8.5K so with fault this should be a target price to beat ??
