Anyone know if there are any regulations relating to power cuts and gratuities offered in lieu of electricity?

The official Guaranteed Standards of Performance set down by Ofgem, the gas and electricity regulator, state that if the supply is not restored within 18 hours, a payment must be made.

This is £50 for domestic customers and £100 for non-domestic customers, plus £25 for each further 12 hours.

I had a similar incident a few years ago but was my landline instead of mains power. It was off for well over a week and i got £90 compensation from BT.
