Can anyone advise of whether to change tyre pressures on the track? Am doing Brands this Sat (weather dependant) for first track day ever.......also am I likely to need much spare oil? Any other nobs going? Cheers guys, Adam.

As i see it these cars don't like a pounding on track so 20 minute stints seems the order of the day.

So it depends how long you are staying out for and how fast you drive/push it.

Do 5 laps and check pressures if they are rising loads take 3 or 4 psi out.

I see loads of noobs letting out 5 psi in their cars and then drive to slow to get good heat and pressure back into them.

I never like this question on the Lotus forums because every one has they own geo and style so pressures cold will not be the same for every one.

If it's your first track day and seeing as how cold it's going to be tomorrow, I would be inclined just to leave pressures as normal. (This doesn't mean that you shouldn't check them with a decent gauge to make sure they are what they should be).
Check oil-level first thing in the morning before you even start the car - oil level should be covering the full mark. Don't be tempted to overfill. If your car uses oil in normal driving then check again before the afternoon session starts.
Otherwise, remember to do a warm-up lap (for both tyres and brakes) as well as a cool down lap at each session and don't sit with your foot on the brake pedal when you come in, or use the handbrake. Park up in gear with handbrake off.
Have fun!

I ran std 18/27 at brands and they were spot on, didnt use any oil at all. Be aware that you may find that you will boil your steering fluid, as 3 of us did on the day.
