Muslim drivers, is it just me?
Discussion
Starting to worry here as I have lost count as to how many times this has happened to me this year, but given I am in a min-cab / private hire car 3 times a week after work, a lot.
Simple scenario:
1) I get in, say hi
2) Driver says hi, starts talking about something generic (weather / football)
3) I respond because I am not rude and don't mind idle talk
4) Topic quickly changes to the wonders of Islam and how if I don't become a Muslim, I will die, dead and burn in a lake of fire
So far this week I have been told 6 Muslim parabels, educated that as a Muslim on Jihad I will apparently get some sweet virgins in the afterlife, told that my wife needs to obey me and as a Muslim she damn well would and last but not least played the Koran, stop / start mode so the bloke could translate. That's just this week, it happens a lot, is it just me?

Damnit, it must just be me
The only non Islam conversion jihad ride of shame I have had this week was with a north African due who fell asleep behind the wheel around Pyrford and I just got out and walked home.I should just catch the train

It's funny you say this OP.
I took a course in Croydon (yuk) earlier this year and used a local taxi firm to ferry me about each day.
Without fail, each conversation was moved to Islam by my driver. Each time I was advised that Islam was worth looking into.
To be honest, I just put it down to the owner recruiting his drivers after prayer at the mosque.
I've never experienced this phenomena in Birmingham though, ever.

Most taxi drivers I meet are either mute or babble on incessantly about nothing in particular. For example I had one taxi ride from Bradford to Leeds during which the guy spent the whole (45 minute) duration of the journey explaning that he could no longer find quality clothes now that C&A in Leeds had closed. WTF?
Whether a mute or a babbler they do often manage to frighten me with their driving / condition of their car / both.
