As per the thread title really, I'm sure a thread was done on this recently but I couldn't find it. Any ideas on how the passenger footwell is getting quite damp? It's a mk2 1.6, by the by.
Had a quick look, I couldn't see anything but I didn't take the carpets up so couldn't really see much.

TIA

Have you checked the hood drain-tubes?

I haven't checked the hood drain tubes. Refresh my memory as to where the drain tubes are again Lazza, I know you must post info like this every other day!

I think most of my passengers have been able to hold it in long enough.

As well as the drain holes (parcel shelf near the seatbelt) check for cracking along the edge of the hood. Even the slightest of "cracks" will let water in. But that tends to give you a wet seat.

I've got moisture everywhere in mine at the moment. Some fool didn't put the roof up properly.

Hope the weekend's dry, I need to take it for a long drive with the top down to dry it out. smile

If you do a search on the various sites, especially on miata.net you'll find plenty of descriptions & pictures of how to clear the drain tubes.
