Thank you so much for posting that, absolutely awe inspiring.
No wonder modern touring cars are so rubbish, rear wheel drive rules.
Just superb.

Proper saoon car racing, plenty of power, RWD and no sophisticated aero packages to break.

Fantastic footage, cheers for that.

It's those early 90's DTM races that drove me to buy a Merc 190E 2.5-16v. . .damn I miss that car and I miss that racing!

Was that a Mustang at 4:20ish?
Never knew they ever raced in DTM

Yeah there was a Mustang that raced in DTM in either 90 or 91.

Back in the days of VHS a mate of mine had DTM reviews of 90 and 91 seasons. They were our favourite motorsport videos by miles. The old Audi V8 was just awesome.

There were a couple, search DTM and Mustang in Google for more info and some videos.

And with proper circuits too. A lot of that footage was either at the Ring, or on the old Hockenheim circuit. Love the way they used to bounce over the chicanes.
Remember watching all the old DTM live on TV with my Dad on one of the German channels you used to be able to get with the old analogue Sky package. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. smile

Just the mutt's nuts.
I know the budgets got so out of control, but what great looking cars.

I think those Alfas were about 500bhp towards the end of the proper DTM years.
