YIPPEEEEEE, it's time to start fixing up for the Le Mans Classic in July, probably thursday crossing, not decided route but will be heading for Maison Blanche. This is for real cars (not those funny quiet diesel things) ... who is going from Yorkshire? Must be a good TVR group we can join? John

I was thinking about this but a euro road trip with the S owners has taken its place. One day!

There's something about it on the tvrcc site.

Blimey, that thread went nowhere ... and I thought that there must be SOME appreciation of the best racing weekend EVER EVER EVER!

Phil, have a look at http://www.lemansclassic.com/2008/UK/index.html, they say that the 2010 website will be up at the end of 2009. It's 9-10-11 July, and there are threads in the Pistonheads Le Mans section. Whatever praise you hear or read, then it's actually EVEN BETTER!

There's a block booking for TVR's but can't remember where they're staying. We're fed up with regular Le Mans so we're doing the Classic next year, also staing in Maison Blanch. Doing it on the cheap this time, 4 of us in 1 car & leaving the TVR & Sevens at home. Saving up for an extended road trip in 2011. Check us out @

I'm heading over on Wednesday night from Portsmouth. Leaving Sheffield about 4pm but not sure if my co-driver needs collecting or can be delivered. Went last year and loved it.....except waving goodbye to the Vette when the u-joints nacked up that is.

Just sorted tickets, Mason Blanche camping, grandstand & paddock etc bounce ... need to fix ferry and that's it. Also will be heading down from Yorkshire (from a bit further north than Vette though, Ilkley, and I KNOW that my co-driver will be late getting here) on Wednesday evening, not sure whether to do Poole - Cherbourg fast cat Thursday morning, back Monday morning ... or a short crossing same days? confused

We're staying in a villa about 40kms South of Le Mans for a week following the Goodwood FoS. The Elise is being used for the track laps and infield parking. It's always clashed with FoS in previous years so not attended. Well excited!
