hi, in my flat we have a boiler with a seperate water cylinder in the bathroom. the other day the mrs ran a bath (i usually just have a shower which is a seperate electric jobby) after running the bath for a while she got in and then after a couple of minutes the cylinder in the cupboard nect to the bath started pissing water all over the floor, it had sprayed over the back of the cupboard and all the pipes seemed to be wet. any ideas what it may be? thanks

A problem.

And in the wrong forum.

Get a plumber in, could be something simple like a thread or gasket, could be major like pipes or the cylinder itself breached. Call in the pros.

its a case of getting the very slow to react landlord to sort it which is why i was asking on here.

Is it a combination cylinder? The type with the storage tank built into the cylinder? If so, the plastic spout may have snapped off the top of the ballvalve, which will piss mains pressure water everywhere.

I'm not sure why anyone would really care? Your thread title makes it quite obvious what the thread is about, I can't see anyone clicking it by mistake and feeling that you have robbed them of valuable seconds of their life. For what it's worth, I agree with Ricky.
