...to the pub, open fire, three pints, a bag of scratchings, made a fuss of someone's dog.

nothing much really, but it was so 'nice'.

Went to the pub for lunch and a pint then feeling suitably full, walked it off around town for a couple of hours. Just the 3 of us. Lovely.

I know exactly what you mean. I visited Croyde in North Devon with some friends a few weeks ago and we went down to the beach where we proceeded to get blown to bits and soaked to the skin in about 10 seconds.

We all retired to the nearest pub, had a few pints, some packets of scampi fries and read the Sunday papers next to the fire. It was perfect!

Went to the park with emsman jnr, got freezing cold, and soaking wet walking back in the coldest rain I have known.

Wouldn't change it for the world.

Don't worry guys, I've reported this mismatch error of "poster to post" to the Powers That Be.

I don't think Emsman bothers with minor injuries, he does it properly!

Is it me or are we turning into Facebook/twitter about what we are all doing lately?

If anyone cares I spent all day in bed feeling sorry for myself and applying for jobs.

That sounds like an idylic way to spend a day. I had to work this am - don't do many Saturdays anymore however today was pretty hetic, being over 6 months pregnant hectic shifts are starting to take there toll so came home and promptly fell asleep!

Spent last couple of hrs watching christmas movies on movies 24 smile. I'd love a beer right now esp after reading OP thread!!

Bored at lunchtime I decided to go for a drive out to my folks 40 miles away to do a few things on the car (oil/washer/coolant top-ups etc). It was beautiful out there today (Royal Deeside, N/E Scotland), although it was -10 yikes but there was a crisp white frost over everything! Made for a very mucky car though; made worse by the washer jets freezing up and not defrosting until I had returned to the relative warmth of the city.
