I'm going out to have my first one tonight with 15 friends at a local pub.

Brie and cranberry parcels to start, turkey and trimmings, apple and blackberry crumble if I can manage it.

Goodbye diet, hello Christmas!

Has anyone else had one yet or am I the first?

Good on ya!

I had my Christmas dinner a week last Thursday at the Old Bank in Swindon, and to be fair, it was pretty good for a bulk jobby!

It was a combined Christmas/leaving do, and it was a good laugh.

I'm not a big turkey fan, so on Christmas Day I'll be having a roast chicken dinner. Made one a few weeks ago, and I'm planning to make one tomorrow too! biggrin

Had one last Saturday with friends at the Racecourse classic dried turkey at it's best, second one today with my Mum. Probably have a couple more yet.

Not really a fan of Turkey though, having goose on the day itself!

Had one at work yesterday. We have a works one every year. A few of our secretarial staff do the cooking.

Had my first one last Saturday. GTOUK annual bash. Pretty average food but loads of loud and (partly) alcohol fuelled fun.

technically its not a christmas dinner until christmas, so really, all you've had is dinner. wink

Might be having a very good 'dinner' soon as a run up and practice to the real thing.

My first was last Thursday at Swindon's Hilton, Murder Mystery with terrible acting and hurrendous drink prices. Food was no bad though, traditional with all the trimmings.

Second was the next night (I did do a 3 mile run before each to try and counteract the effects) at The Spot in Old Town, Swindon, not bad for £17 a head for a 3 course (4 choices for each course) sit down meal in a room to ourselves (35 of us) and a free glass of bubbly upon arrival.

Last Friday - a combined Christmas/leaving do. Roast pots were awful and overcooked sprouts, no stuffing or any sauces. Turkey and gravy was fine though smile
