3000m Heater fan - From what???

My 3000M heater fan just started to make a funny smell and then lunched itself ( the fuse it's on also runs the wipers so I was pleased it happened on my drive)

It's a Smiths heater unit, but there are no identifying marks or numbers, does anyone out there know what it's off?

My blower was Missing on my 3000s. I went onto demon tweeks web site. Found a 4 inch blower fan part no CWP240 102mm mounting flanges 235 cfm flow. They are used on boats to draw out fumes. I fitted one, just mounted it single speed. It works a lot better then in other m`s i have been in. Price..... £24.20 & vat and postage.

Hi Jasper, as Steve said the motor is a generic BL..easiest find is a Triumph 1500 (as it sits within the engine bay and can come out with by removing the 3 screws) BUT the hamster wheel fans are colour coded to suit direction and will need to be swapped to make the best of the system.

Jasper... Do you have a picture of your blower? I have a surplus one... It came from my 2500M... not sure if they are the same? But its yours for a few beer notes if it is!


I fitted a much larger, much more powerful blower from a mondeo.... I can actually demist the screen now

Hi I had to replace my heat has the heater matrix seal had gone and rusted everything up. I replaced it with a unit from a Rover P4. And the plastic cowell is the same too. I think it only cost me a couple of quid from a autojumble.
