I don't mind seeing "climate change" advert lies on PH, but this one takes the piss.
Why is PH displaying the stupid "please somebody think of the children" CO2 advert

It is a travesty, and tries to use kids as a "guilt trip" means to save the planet

These will be served up automatically according to their performance - PHs obviously respond well to these then!

Perhaps PH, being a motoring site, should get a provider that doesn't serve bullst adverts about co2

Agreed, but you must remember this is a commercial site run entirely for financial gain by a large publishing group. Revenue generation trumps all other issues.

Personally, I'd say who cares. PH/Haymarket need to monetise the traffic and if the ad network wants to put these bks ads on, fine. Clearly the finance side of things works for them.

It's a bit disappointing really.
I have an ad blocker, so I wouldn't have known.
Is this really true?

I care enough that I'll go and install adblock or equivalent for Chrome now that it supports extensions, something that I wasn't going to do as I've grown to not mind adverts as much since I've used Chrome instead of Firefox with adblock.
Meaning that PH will lose me as someone who might actually look and click on adverts, just because they decide that showing CO2 propaganda is a good idea.

Of course, I would say that we are very lucky to have as much input, and say to how things look around here, as we do.

How is this a bad thing? It makes PH money and 99% of people on here simply ignore the advert. If it wasn't on here, it would be somewhere else brainwashing people who are more inclined to believe the hype.

Rather it were here where it will be safely ignored, than elsewhere breeding more eco-mentalists...

Does it really anger you that much? I honestly couldn't say whether I have seen that ad or not, I barely notice them now. (And I don't have any ad blockers set up)

...although I do remember a thread a while ago for either a lingerie company or dating website that were advertising - people saving screengrabs and comparing their findings!

Bring back the Bravissimo adverts, that's what I say. For, erm, equality reasons.

way to go, no one would have thought about the ad until this post, all you have done is made it a very high profile advert, which they will place again

Yes, I can just see the click through rate going through the roof.

No it won't, he took a screenshot.
It's not a link to the advert.
