Young Driver in a uninsured 335i..........
Discussion
I was just talking to an old friend today and heard she lets her son drive her new E9x BMW 335i, she is insured on the car but her son is not. He doesn’t seem like the most experienced of drivers and is more of a boy racer. When I told her that she would be uninsured if he crashed, she didn’t seem too bothered. I however, was outraged; a 17 year old who had just passed his driving test was now driving a 335i; especially when he is a wreck less driver who has no insurance.
What’s your opinion? Would you ever let someone drive your car uninsured?

Can't belive you are even asking.
Its the highest form of stupidity, and I would NEVER drive or let anyone I knew drive my or their car un-insured.
Your freind is a f
king idiot. The son is doing what any son would do, jump at the chance, its the joke of a parent he has that is going to be his demise.

Its his mothers fault...
Its never anyone's fault except the person behind the wheel.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

In fact, it's also the mother who is breaking the law. You are not allowed to let someone drive your car without checking that their car insurance is valid. She knows it isn't valid... ie he doesn't have one.

She may be an accessory, but the main offender is ALWAYS the driver.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Its his mothers fault...Knowing what i was like when i was 17 in a 1.2 Corsa i dread to think if i'd of had a 335i..! In face i'd go as far as saying i'd of probably killed myself, people in my car, and other innocent people going about their lives innocently... but i suppose that would also be his mothers fault, so it doesn't matter.
