Focus Battery

Hi
Does anyone know what the correct way of replacing a battery is, what order do i take the leads off, is it red first? The battery on my 2001 focus has died (went a few weeks ago but worked after using jump leads) the local factors checked the battery and they said it was fine just needed charging, but it has gone again, all electricals work but it wont let me start, i just hear a clicking noise. Well i hope it is the battery

Hi I would say to take the earth off first then if you touch the chassis with the spanner you will not get a dead short and sparks!
Then make sure that the lead is not touching the battery post when it is removed.

Then take off the red.
When you refit put red on first then the earth.
