E46 M3 Coupe question and thoughts
Discussion
have just bought a 2002 M3 coupe ( and simply love it, just wish the weather would dry up) and was want to get rid of the centre console containing the mobile phone holder as have put a parrot system in, where can i get a replacement from if there is one available, preferable with a cup holder in!
Second question, anyone know of a good replacement unit for the sat nav/tv screen?
thoughts would appreciated
its all about third gear!!!

I bought one of these, perfect, much better than original mess. Sorting the phone synch button requires a little bit of fiddling about, basically undo all the screws and then you leave the small button attached to a wire tucked underneath the unit. Means you need to remove it to use it, but it's no hassle.

cheers folks
the screen is already in yeah
think i may leave the screen in, even if the sat nav with no post code entry is a waste of time
lovin the car though, just wish the roads would dry up
Do you have the DVD sat nav (with perspective 'bird's eye' view?). If not, that will be a very good upgrade.the screen is already in yeah

Are you aware the sat nav unit is upgradable and you can create DVDs with the postcode data on them. It's a bit of a nerdy science but well worth the effort.
I really think the system is quite underated when you have it up to date.
For more information google X Outpost and look at the navigation forum.

nope - ebay!
The nav 'computer' is in the boot. It takes five minutes to remove and swap. I'd recommend looking at the X Outpost forum and picking up a computer. Then sell on the MK3 unit you have.
You will then need a DVD map disk. All the info for that is available on that forum.
Do some more research. The MK4 was fitted to a lot of cars but make sure the one you buy is the correct part number.
You could of course use any dealer but it would be very expensive.
