Interesting choice, however I can't see you driving a generic 3-series saloon? If going sensible surely go the whole hog and get a 5 / 7

Interesting choice, however I can't see you driving a generic 3-series saloon? If got an Audi warranty then everything is covered - even squeaks and rattles! Cost is about £2k per year but there are mileage limitations. I renewed with Warrantywise for under £1k and it's very comprehensive with a very small excess, although it is an insurance policy so you have to get them to agree the work, then get it done and pay for it. They then send a cheque within a week. Mine paid for itself 4 weeks after taking it out (new water pump)! I also got the cambelt and thermostat done at the same time and the dealer only charged me for the parts at cost...
Don't touch a low-miler - the higher mileage cars have had all the 'chocolate' bits replaced with the upgraded versions!
MRC will do you a good deal on supplying and fitting a Milltek system...
But I do prefer the Avants and they hold there price better too.

Budget tops really 20k but it has to be alot more car than what I have.
Like the idea of a cayman or 987, Z4m, Europa, monaro.
The E55 AMG K would be fun but a big bill killer, think the only way to go amg is with a warranty car when you can afford to buy main dealer nearly new.

I could see you in a Z4M...

I've always liked them and Fidgits made me like them even more after taking me out in his.
I was suprised as to how quick it was, the sense of acceleration didn't tail off at all and it appears to be a very capable car indeed!
I'd almost certainly get a test-drive in one if you can Al.
What are these Alpina versions like, and why cheaper?

Same goes for Z4M conv, seem to be cheaper than the coupe.?
