Has anyone else noticed the appauling audio quality throughout the series? (Not just crap singers, but bad audio). Tonight i couldn't hear the guitars on 'live and let die'. Partway through one of the lads songs there was a mental pitch bend and also in previous shows I've not been able to hear the singers as the backing track/backing vocal has been too loud.

For a show that's supposed to be about music it's amazing it's so bad. I apprieciate it's live TV, but it's been awful most weeks.

There was a big pitch bend when Joe was singing the victory song at the end. Strangley enough, his voice did the same thing at the same time... scratchchin

Google X factor and cheating and I think you will get the general idea.

From Auto tune, backing tracks, pre recorded vocals, triggered vocals and miming.

Then look at the real performers. Proper on stage monitors or in ear monitors. You just can't do it live on that scale without them.

The fact that Live and let die was a tad messy proves it was live. ETA Well most of it wobble

On the whole the production of this show was really rather remarkable. It's a sound engineers nightmare.

Cheryl Cole's performance of her own single was mostly mimed (or whatever they call it nowadays - backing track - pre-recorded vocals blah bla blah, it ain't live)

Same for Alexander Burke, every time she lowered her mike for a bit of dancing her voice carried on just as normal.

It's pretty appalling really. Even happens for a lot of concerts now - mostly with the new breed of "singers"
