Can't say I like it, has been toned down and has lost it's identity, no agression. It is possible to specify a Rover 75 with most (if not all) of the ZT options now That also includes a 4.6 V8 75.

I much prefer the old one

Yeah, I think you nailed it on the point.

But much more interesting for me is, how does it look on the inside? The old Version looked pretty muchlike a Rover with a leather-package For the price differense I would expact a bit more.

Chaps, sorry you got it all wrong about the new V8 MG/75.

Mate of mine is in Geneva and he is normally very critical of rover but he is amazed at the styling, the fabulous quality of the interior [makes the X type - which i never liked and thought was cramped - look like a mondeo which it is of course! ] and the sensational design when you get up close and personal which is exactly what i intend to do real soon.

the new grille is not bentley at all and even if it was this car wants nothing other than to be a true thoroughbred rover - it is pure Rover from the P5 days - audi nicked it like they do most things. can't wait to see it for real and swap in my ZT 160 which is Gorgeous as well.

Mondeo is much more spacious than any 75/ZT, but going back to Havanatopia's comment about the V8...
I too heard that the V8's finish is superb, inside and out, and that the grille doesn't look so bad in the flesh.
If Rover can price a fully loaded 75 V8 against a mildly equipped mid-range 6 cylinder Merc/BMW they should have a winner on their hands - assuming that punters put their prejudices aside, and that Rover survive long enough to make it...

I don't think the 75 is any less spacious at all, there's already plenty of room in the mk1 75, with even more in the mk2 as the seats were adjusted to give more space front and back.

Hopefully the new ZT-T body will take another slice of ££s off the 2002/3 models so I can pick up a used ZT-T190 at an even better price. Amazing value - just can't find a fully-loaded metallic black one at the moment.

I think the posts about it being a Limo from Asia, were directed towards the new ZT.....not the V8 75....which has a completely different front end.

The styling between the 2 models at the front end are dramatically different.

I really didn't like the picture of the ZT 260 either....but after seeing one in the flesh at the weekend...I'm perhaps... nah... sorry.. V8 75 is still miles nicer.

Strange that the Rover V8 derivative now looks much more in yer face than the MG model.
