Nobody in their right mind drinks whilst shooting clay pigeons. Buy the bore snake, which will be much appreciated.

Quite right, no one would. It's my intention to take him pheasant shooting soon though- he has recently taken up clay shooting and loves it. Now he is proficient, a day on phessies in on the cards.
Drinking will take place at some stage there if my memory-and my ever declining sloe gin supply- serves me correctly

My old man clay shoots - for his birthday i got him a storage slip for his gun. It's basically a gun sleeve with copper (or something) woven into the fabric and the point is that it prevents corrorion to the gun by corroding the metal in the slip instead. It was definitely an improvement on my dad's approach - wrap it in a sheet and sling it in the cabinet biggrin

Cost in the £20 region if i recall...

ETA: What and where i got as an example: http://www.roxtons.co.uk/gun-storage-slip-shotgun-...
