Can i just say... what a breath of fresh air from Call of Duty Modern LAGfare.


Bought it yesterday as it finally came down in price (£30 at GAME)

Its just a simply 4 player xbox live co-op old skool shoot anything that moves game.

4vs4 online is very good fun! one team is zombies and the other team is humans.

The Mele weapons are pure genius! killing a zombie with a cricket bat is my favorite so far!

Anyone else got it?

I bought it as part of her Christmas, she spent days on the first one, so after Christmas I may be able to peel it off her for 10 mins and have a go.

Bought it for £39.99 with £5 off code from Game, 2 days later £29.99

gutted... i refused to buy it for full price... however on reflection.. its worth it!! very impressed.

and unlike COD i dont shout at the screen every 5 mins.

It's great, though I was always going to think that - being a massive fan of the first one.

teamwork is totally essential to doing it well

I was a MASSIVE fan of the first, but I don't like L4D2 one bit, really disappointed

really? what lets it down for you? ive only played a few hours on it etc.. im finding it the same as the first but just with more stuff.

I haven't bought it as a fail to believe that it's worth more than £5...

L4D was excellent as a game because it's core gameplay was fantastic but it seemed so easy to build upon and when Valve stated that they'd release extra content for it I never believed that meant a £40 Add-on pack with extra weapons and a few new campaigns...

L4D = L4D Beta...

L4D2 = L4D1

to be fair... that was my exact view... which is why ive waited for it to come down in price before purchasing!!

And... if your worried about aiming down your gun... then this isnt the game for you.. its a zombie blood fest spray and pray.

(but you can aim on teh sniper rifles)

I would have bought it for £15, which I did try to do when Tesco put the price up wrong, but I wouldn't pay even £25 for it.

I did rent it for £6 last week and thoroughly enjoyed playing through the game.

It just seems like more of the same from the first one though.

sniper is actually quite handy for one person in a team.. getting smokers otherwise can be tough!
