Hi All,

Thinking of buying a second hand mk2 audi TT 2.0 T FSI.

Are there any options that are a must, (sat nav systems, napa leather etc..)

or any extras that you have had on your car, and never use.

Regards

Grant.

Not sure about any must have options but the DSG box and the DVD sat nav will apparently add to second hand values.

For me personally, full leather (if not standard) plus heated seats, Bose and Xenons would be the first things I'd look for. The rest depends on what you want - Bluetooth, iPod dock etc

....if the DSG box doesn't go wrong that is. I thought Bose was a plus until I used it. No bass, and the iPod connection is limited.

Loads more info here http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/index.php?sid=2813...

I lease a 2008 TT 2.0FSI with DSG here in the US, 18 months in and no problems.

Love the DSG but noticed it will change from 1st into 2nd quite roughly when in manual mode. After it warms up its fine.

Came with everything (dealer specced) except the leather.

Reading the TT forum there were quite a few complaints about how quickly the leather wrinkled. I quite like the alcantara/vinyl combo in mine and the heated seats are great now the winter is here.

The ipod conection is OK but doesn't display the actual artist playlist as it plays through the cd-list function - I'm a bit of a technophobe so maybe its just me.

DSG is desirable but I prefer the manual. Avoid lary or solid colours.

Get:
DVD Nav
Heated seats
Rear park
Bose
Xenons are very useful

DVD Nav can easily be retrofitted. The standard ipod connector is very basic but you can now get proper ipod integration for RNSE aftermarket.
