Looking at putting a 3.0 m3 motor into a legend 6... anyone building one? any feedback on support and quality of the kit?
I’m interested as well -- I saw their website and thought that it would make an interesting build. A couple of things slowed me down. The BMW engines didn’t seem to have as much HP as I would have thought, and the second was they didn’t seem particularly light. I may be completely screwed up though, so someone help me out on that. It Certainly it would be attractive Stateside as we have way more of these donors than Sierras.I'm planning to after Christmas - going to use an E36 328 as a donor, so should have decent amount of poke. I'll report back here on progress.
By the way, has anyone got any comments on what to look out for in high milage 328 engines? There seem to be plenty of 120k mile cars on Ebay for £1000-1500, or does this seem too cheap?

Service history! Especially in the last years/months of ownership!. I wouldn't have anything to do with the "last services were carried out by myself" type of thing you see in descriptions. I would avoid any cars that had had recent changes of ownership too.£1000 ish is about right for this type of car, even with excellent histories, simply because nobody wants to buy them.

Good man! If you can get one with history all the better. You should be able to get a good one cheaper than that though. I've placed an order for mine now too.
I have just started building a Legend, but only the 4 cyl version using a 318is as a donor with the 140bhp m42 lump.
I have only got as far as pannelling so far as I've manufactured many myself, but impressions of quality are good so far.
I didnt buy the full kit due to not having the finances to, so I havent seen all the component parts, i am sourcing parts as and when i need them.
One thing i will say is the support from Peter at GKD is first rate.

My wife is getting rid of a 328i BMW touring 1995, that had a new engine from BMW at 98K under nikasil warranty now she has her new car. Its got rust round the boot, and is probably not worth much at all.
We're giving the relatives first refusal at Xmas, but its highly likey to be flogged for virtually nothing just post christmas if no relly wants it.
I imagine the whole car isn't worth £1K so I suspect all the donor parts for this project are readily found.
