There is a clip where they put the oldies against the new boys and a GT40 goes up against a M400 the GT40 was quicker.

the green GTO3 in the top gear vid is mine now. They put a new gearbox in it after the stig had his way!!!

No they never tested a GTO3R or M400 officially, the 1min25 lap time was set by a GTO3, the M400 Vs GT40, unofficially lapped in 1min21.3 but never went on the board.

I made a thread on this all links to videos for Noble tests were on that thread, the thread was titled "incorrect M400 TG lap time" because on the official website it calls up 1min25 as being set by the M400 when it was clearly a GTO3.
