Hi, I am taking a client to lunch tomorrow, and assumed she would want to go to a posh restaurant, but no - she wants pie. She's German and apparently loves an English pie. She had previously been to this place :

....and loved it, but they are booked up for lunch tomorrow. Does anybody know a good alternative? Central London, but could be a bit East or West.

Cheers.

When you say Barclay Square, do you mean Berkeley Square, where Jack Barclay's showroom is?

Yeah, thats the place. Walk past it every day and lived off it for 2 years so clearly had to spell it incorrectly didn't I? Doh!

Mayfair again, what is it with Mayfair & pies? It's not my preferred side of town, and am looking for something a bit more 'earthy' . Thanks for the recommendation though.

Th Guinea Grill & The Windmill are basically the same restaurant in slightly different parts of town seperated by a couple of streets but owned by the same people

Earthy eh?

Try Manzes on Tower Bridge Road, they like to keep things "original".

+ 1. Best pie in London and proper dusty pub in the front.
