Watched this last night. I was fully expecting it to be more teen rubbish but was stunned.

What a fantastic comedy had me in stitches and cheered me up no end.

I would recommend this film to anybody feeling the affects of winter thumbup

Sorry if there is already a thread for this film I couldn't find it.

It was funny, not a patch on Old School though. Thats how you do adult drinking at a wedding comedy.

Film of the year? Definately not, District 9 by a country mile.

Agreed, thought it'd be great according to the reviews.

Was OK, nothing great.

It wasn't bad, but not as good as i'd hoped. Funny as opposed to hilarious

Agree....even the Dan Band were better in old school ("i see the fking look in your eyes....turn around") Although i think the cast was better in Old School...Will's best role and it was back when Vince was funny.

I wasn't impressed by this either - so many people I know were saying it was the best film of the year.

I only really found one bit funny (with Tyson) through the whole film.

By a strange coincidence i hadn't seen Old School or The Hangover and picked both out to watch at random on Monday when i had flu.

Old School is much funnier in my opinion. Lots of proper laugh-out-loud moments. True comedy gold.

I liked The Hangover as well but it was amusing with a few chuckles for me. I wasn't ROFLMAO as they say. I suppose the difference is not having comic actors of the calibre of Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell in it. Worth seeing though.

One thing i did spot straight away was that it was the same 'bad taste' wedding band in both films, which had me straight on to IMDB to check it out. Weird that i picked these two films to watch the same day, they feaure the same band and Old School is one of the first films to be mentioned above!!

The Dan Band, they also feature in Starsky and Hutch.

They are funny as fk, check out YouTube... oh what the hell, this kills me:

ETA: If I ever get married (unlikely) I'm having that as the first dance complete with swearing.

theres a surprising lack of "dan band" style wedding songs on you tube.....its my bros wedding next may and i'm tempted to slip the band he's hired £20 and do my best Bonnie Tyler!
